Prague

Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. It is popular for its historical and romantic atmosphere. Some areas and sightseeing are on the list of UNESCO.

Prague castlePrague castle Just from the Medieval time, it is the seat of the head of the state. It is the most visited sightseeing in the Czech Republic. On one place, you can see several castle gardens, gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, Basilica of St. George and the picturesque Golden Gate with very small but charming houses. From the Prague castle, there is also one of the most beautiful view on the city.
Charles bridgeCharles BridgeIt is the oldest bridge in Prague. The building started on the magical date –  1357 9.7. at 5:31 a.m. It has the name after its founder – Charles IV. It was the most famous and successful king (and later emperor) of the Czech land. During his rule, the state was  the biggest in his history. On the bridge, you can see the statues from Matyáš Braun in baroque style.
Astronomical clockOld Town Square – It is the oldest and one of the most famous squares in Prague. The landmark is The Old Town Hall with The Astronomical clock. Each hour, you can join to the mass of visitors and see its performance ending with a pleasant surprise.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Petřín TowerPetrin tower When The Club of The Czech Tourists visited the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889, they were so mesmerized with The Eiffel Tower, that they collected the money after they returned home and they built its imitation – Petřín Tower. From the top, there is a perfect view on Prague. Next to the tower, there is the Mirror Maze, where you can enjoy a lot of fun. You can get with the funicular to the top of the Petřín hill.

 

ZOO Praha – The magazine Forbes wrote, that this ZOO is the 7th best in the world. It is really a ZOO Praguegreat place, where you can stay the whole day and go away with a huge smile and a lot of experiences. You can visit here the whole world and meet its typical animals. The exhibitions try to look as real as possible. You can meet some free moving animals, see the performance of sea lions, feed the goats, etc. This place fight with the Prague castle about the first place on the TOP visited landmarks of the Czech Republic.

 

 

Prague has more places to see, but also the rest of the country is beautiful. Not far from Plzeň, there are:

Český KrumlovČeský Krumlov The town is on the list of the UNESCO. The centre of the town has still a medieval atmosphere. The landmark is the huge castle with rich decorated rooms, baroque theatre and large gardens, where you can see also the rarity – theatre with rotary auditorium. Český Krumlov is the paradise for paddlers – its four weirs are a real challenge.

Castle HlubokáCastle Hluboká looks like from a fairy tale. It is one of the most visited castles in the country and it is also one of the most photogenic landmarks. Close to the castle, there is a little ZOO with wild animals.

 

 

 

Šumava (The Bohemian Forest)Sumava It is one of the four Czech national parks. It covers a huge area of the Southwest Bohemian. You can see here primeval forest Boubín, peat bogs, glacial lakes, observations and medieval castles.
